TL;DR — Povídání Avenue Review 2026
Chat Avenue is one of the oldest free chat room networks on the web, with topic rooms, private messages and webcam support. You can join without registering, and it runs in any browser. It is not an adults-only site, leans on volunteer moderators and scores just 1.4/5 on Trustpilot, so it suits cautious adults at best. Rating: 2/5.
- Best for: Adults who like old-school group chat rooms and quick guest access.
- Cost: Free; optional VIP upgrade.
- Standout feature: Dozens of themed rooms with no sign-up.
- Skip it if: You want an adults-only space, strong moderation or one-on-one video.
Chat Avenue is a long-running network of free textový chat rooms that later added webcam support. Older reviews called it a náhodný videochat site, but it is really a room-based community where you join a topic and mluvit to whoever is there. If you are comparing classic room sites, our Chatib review covers a similar free option, and our guide to free online chat rooms lists more.

Co je Chat Avenue?
Chat Avenue is a free chat room website that has been running for more than 25 years, offering themed group rooms for general chat, randění, LGBTQ+ users and adult conversation. It is closer to how Chatzy’s room-based chat works than to roulette-style video sites: you talk in a shared room and open private messages with people you meet there.
How does Chat Avenue work?
Chat Avenue works by letting you pick a room, choose a guest username and start typing straight away.
- Open chat-avenue.com in any browser.
- Choose a themed room that suits you.
- Enter a username and join as a guest, or register for extra features.
- Chat in the main room or open private messages with other members.
- Turn on your webcam or audio in the room if you want to go beyond text.
Chat Avenue features
Chat Avenue’s features are built around group rooms rather than one-on-one matching.
| Funkce | What it does | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Themed rooms | Separate rooms for general, dating, LGBTQ+ and adult chat | Find people with similar interests quickly |
| Guest access | Join without registering | Zero friction to try it |
| Private messages | One-to-one chat with room members | Move a conversation out of the busy room |
| Webcam and audio | Broadcast cam or voice inside rooms | Adds a face to the conversation |
| VIP upgrade | Unlocks extra features | Optional; the core chat stays free |
| Reporting | Flag users to moderators and admins | Some recourse against abuse |
Je Chat Avenue zdarma?
Yes, Chat Avenue says it is 100% free, with an optional VIP upgrade for extra features. The site does not publish VIP pricing on its homepage, so check the current price before paying.
Chat Avenue pros and cons
Chat Avenue is easy to join and free, but its safety record holds it back.
| Výhody | Nevýhody |
|---|---|
| Free, with no registration needed | Mixed-age site, not adults-only |
| Huge range of themed rooms | Relies largely on volunteer moderators |
| Webcam and audio in rooms | 1.4/5 Trustpilot score; complaints about bots, scams and bans |
| Works on any device in the browser | No native app |
| More than 25 years of operation | Dated, cluttered design |
Je Chat Avenue bezpečný?
Chat Avenue is only moderately safe for adults, because it allows guest access with no verification, is not restricted to adults and relies heavily on volunteer moderators. It was one of the sites named in New Jersey’s 2018 “Operation Open House” sting against online predators, and Trustpilot reviewers in 2026 complain about weak moderation, bots and scams.
- Use a username that has nothing to do with your real name or other accounts.
- Never share your address, workplace, phone number or social media.
- Ignore links sent by strangers; many are spam or scams.
- Report and leave any conversation that turns abusive or suspicious.
- Be careful turning on your webcam in group rooms, where anyone can record.
18+ note: Camround is strictly for adults 18 and over. If you want a space where everyone has confirmed they are an adult, choose an 18+ service instead of a mixed-age room network.

Chat Avenue vs alternatives
Chat Avenue competes with other free room networks and with adult-focused chat sites. Chatiw’s guest text chat is a lighter alternative, and Wireclub’s profile-based community suits people who want more structure.
| Platform | Format | Free? | Sign-up | Standout |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chat Avenue | Themed rooms, text and cam | Yes (VIP optional) | Není vyžadováno | Huge room list |
| Camround | 1-on-1 random video (18+) | Ano | No profile needed | Instant matching, skip anytime, report to moderators |
| Chatib | Text chat rooms | Ano | Guest or account | Simple, busy rooms |
| Chatiw | Text chat and private messages | Yes (VIP optional) | Guest | Fast guest entry |
| Chat Hour | Text rooms and messaging | Ano | Free account | Member search |
Who is Chat Avenue best for?
Chat Avenue is best for adults who enjoy busy group chat rooms and do not mind a dated, loosely moderated space. If you want rooms that are strictly for grown-ups, our guide to adult chat rooms is a better starting point, and if you would rather talk face to face, you can start a free one-on-one video chat on Camround, which is 18+ only.
