TL;DR — Gomeet Review 2026
Gomeet (GoMeet.today) is a random 1-on-1 video chat that pairs you with strangers worldwide. Basic matching is free but limited, and unlimited matches, filters and extras sit behind a VIP membership and coin purchases. The site contradicts itself on whether you need to register and does not state a minimum age on its homepage, so it scores lower than better-documented rivals. Valutazione: 2,5/5.
- Ideale per: Adults who want a simple 1-on-1 video chat and do not mind in-app purchases.
- Costo: Free with limited matches; VIP and coins cost extra.
- Caratteristica principale: Audio and text modes alongside video.
- Salta questa sezione se: You want unlimited free matching or clear rules and age checks.
Gomeet, which runs at GoMeet.today, is a random 1-on-1 video call service, not the business conferencing tool of a similar name that the previous version of this page described. We have rewritten the review around the chat site people actually search for.
It sits in the same category as our 1v1 Chat guide e our guide to free 1-on-1 video calls, with a freemium model that pushes you towards VIP and coins.

What is Gomeet?
Gomeet is a random video chat that pairs you instantly with strangers around the world and lets you press Next to meet someone else. Besides video, it offers audio-only and text chat modes. The site says it filters out bots and inappropriate content and lets you report or block users, but it publishes few details about how moderation works.
How does Gomeet work?
Gomeet works like most random video call services, with paid upgrades layered on top.
- Open gomeet.today on a computer or phone.
- Register if prompted (the site says both that registration is quick and free and that it is not needed).
- Consenti l'accesso alla fotocamera e al microfono.
- Get matched with a random stranger, or switch to audio or text mode.
- Press Next to skip, and report or block anyone who behaves badly.
Gomeet features
Gomeet covers the basics of random video calling and sells the rest.
| Caratteristica | Cosa fa | Perché è importante |
|---|---|---|
| Random 1-on-1 video | Pairs you with a stranger instantly | Nessun profilo da sfogliare |
| Audio and text modes | Chat without video | Lower-pressure options |
| Pulsante Avanti | Passa a qualcun altro | Tu mantieni il controllo |
| Report and block | Flags or hides bad users | Una rete di sicurezza di base |
| VIP filters | Location, interests and more | Better matches, at a price |
| Coins | In-site currency for extras | Costs can add up |
Is Gomeet free?
Gomeet is free to start, but free accounts get a limited number of matches. A paid VIP membership unlocks unlimited matches, faster connections, featured profiles and features the site calls Friend Call and Card Chat, and the site also sells coins, advertising a heavily discounted first purchase. VIP prices are not shown on the homepage, so check the checkout screen and renewal terms carefully.
Gomeet pros and cons
Gomeet is easy to start, but the free tier is thin and the site is short on transparency.
| Pro | Contro |
|---|---|
| Free to try | Limited free matches |
| Video, audio and text modes | VIP and coins push up the cost |
| Report and block tools | No minimum age stated on the homepage |
| Works on computers and phones | Contradicts itself on registration |
| Operator named on the site | Little detail on moderation |
Is Gomeet safe?
Gomeet can be used by cautious adults, but its homepage says little about age checks or moderation.

In definitiva
Gomeet does the basics of random 1-on-1 video calling and adds handy audio and text modes. A thin free tier, paywalled matches, contradictory sign-up information and no stated minimum age hold it back, so we rate it 2.5/5. For free gender matching with a report button and a clear 18+ rule, try Camround.
