Bazoocam

Bazoocam (bazoocam.org) is one of the oldest Chatroulette-style sites still online. TechCrunch reported in 2010 that the French team launched it only a couple of months before a spin-off site, which puts its start at around March 2010, when it was already a leader in the French market. If you know our Chatroulette review, the format will feel familiar.

The previous version of this page claimed exactly 11 languages and an ad-heavy experience with no premium; we could not confirm those specifics, so this review sticks to what independent sources describe today.

Что такое Bazoocam?

Bazoocam is a random video chat that pairs you with one stranger at a time and lets you skip to the next with a click. An independent Tencent RTC guide, reviewed in August 2026, describes a geolocation algorithm that tries to connect people who are closer to one another, built-in games, multiple language versions and moderators who can ban users. There are no gender, interest or country filters, so every match is a surprise.

Как работает Bazoocam?

Bazoocam works in a few clicks: switch on your camera and press start.

1. Open bazoocam.org in a desktop browser (mobile browsers work, but the layout is basic).
2. Accept the rules and confirm you are an adult.
3. Allow camera and microphone access and press Start.
4. Chat with your match, or open a game such as Tetris or Four in a Row.
5. Press Next to skip, and report anyone who breaks the rules.

Bazoocam features

Bazoocam keeps random video simple, then adds games to make chats less awkward.

Характеристика	What it does	Why it matters
Random matching	Pairs you with an available stranger	No profiles to browse
Location-aware matching	Favours people closer to you	Better odds of a shared language
Built-in games	Tetris, Tic-Tac-Toe, Four in a Row	Easy icebreakers
Next button	Skips to someone new	You stay in control
Модерация	Rules, moderators and bans	Fewer bad matches
Language versions	Localised versions of the site	Accessible beyond France

Is Bazoocam free?

Bazoocam is free to use, and we found no subscription or paid filter in current sources. Expect advertising on the page, which is how most free random chats are funded.

Bazoocam pros and cons

Bazoocam is a veteran that still does the basics well, but it shows its age.

Плюсы	Cons
Free with no account	No gender or interest filters
Running since 2010	Dated, desktop-first design
Built-in games as icebreakers	No dedicated mobile app in current sources
Location-aware matching	Moderation cannot catch everything
Published rules and bans	Few details on privacy or age checks

Является ли Bazoocam безопасным?

Bazoocam is safer than many no-account chats thanks to its rules and moderators, but no live video site can guarantee every match.

• Keep your face framed and your background free of anything that identifies you.
• Never share your name, social media, phone number or location.
• Assume the other person can record the call.
• Skip and report anyone who breaks the rules.
• Remember that location-aware matching means a match may live near you.

18+ only: random video chat with strangers is for adults, and Camround is strictly for users aged 18 and over.

Bazoocam vs alternatives

Bazoocam competes with the big names in random video chat. How OmeTV compares is worth a look if you want country selection, our Chatruletka review covers another long-running roulette-style chat, and our roundup of chat alternatives compares the wider field.

Platform	Best for	Free?	Sign-up	Standout
Bazoocam	Classic случайный чат with games	Да	Не требуется	Built-in games
Camround	Free 1-on-1 video	Да	No profile needed	Guys matched with girls, report to moderators
Chatroulette	The original random video chat	Да	Varies	Moderated random matching
OmeTV	Fast global random chats	Yes, with paid app extras	Usually social sign-in	Country selection
Emerald Chat	Interest-based chats	Yes, with paid extras	Дополнительно	Interest matching

Who is Bazoocam best for?

Bazoocam is best for adults who want a long-running, бесплатный случайный видеочат with games to break the ice and do not need filters. If you would rather be matched with the opposite gender for free, you can start a one-on-one video chat on Camround, which is strictly 18+.

The bottom line

Bazoocam has outlasted most of the Chatroulette clones that appeared in 2010, and its games and location-aware matching still make it pleasant to use. A dated design, no filters and limited privacy detail cost it points, so we rate it 3.5/5. For free gender matching with a report button and a clear 18+ rule, try Camround.
