TL;DR — Chatiw Review 2026
Chatiw is a free guest text κουβέντα site where you pick a nickname and start chatting in rooms or private messages within seconds. It has run since 2010 and its age selector starts at 18, but there is no verification and user reviews are dominated by complaints about scammers, fake profiles and ignored reports. Rating: 1.5/5.
- Best for: Adults who want instant, no-email συνομιλία μέσω κειμένου and know how to spot scams.
- Cost: Free; optional VIP upgrade.
- Standout feature: No sign-up at all: nickname, age, gender and location only.
- Skip it if: You want verified users, active moderation or reliable συνομιλία μέσω βίντεο.
Chatiw is one of the longest-running guest chat sites, and it has changed little over the years: you type a nickname and you are in. Older descriptions of it as a video ραντεβού site oversell it, because text rooms and private messages are the real product. If you want something similar with a busier room list, our Chatib review is the closest comparison, and Chatzy’s private room format suits people who prefer invite-only chats.

What is Chatiw?
Chatiw is a free, ανώνυμος text chat site that mixes public group rooms with one-to-one private chats and photo sharing. It belongs to the same family as older room networks like Chat Avenue: no profile to build, no email to confirm and very little standing between you and other users, which is both its appeal and its biggest weakness.
How does Chatiw work?
Chatiw works by letting you enter a few basic details and drop straight into the chat list.
- Open chatiw.us in a browser or use the linked mobile chat.
- Choose a nickname, then set your age, gender, country and state.
- Join a group room or browse the list of online users.
- Open a private chat with anyone, or use τυχαίος chat to be paired with a male or female user.
- Block or report anyone who bothers you, and leave when you are done.
Chatiw features
Chatiw’s features are basic and built entirely around fast, anonymous text chat.
| Χαρακτηριστικό | What it does | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Guest entry | Chat with only a nickname and basic details | No email or password to manage |
| Group rooms | Public rooms with many users at once | Easy to find someone online |
| Private chats | One-to-one conversations | Move away from busy rooms |
| Τυχαία συνομιλία | Pairs you with a male or female user | Quick conversation starter |
| Κοινή χρήση φωτογραφιών | Send pictures in chat | Richer chats, but share carefully |
| VIP upgrade | Paid extras for regular users | Optional; the free tier covers the basics |
Is Chatiw free?
Yes, Chatiw is free to use as a guest. A VIP upgrade adds extras; according to review site DatingScout it costs $4.95 a month, $25.95 for six months, $49.95 a year or $99.95 for lifetime access, though we could not confirm those prices on Chatiw itself.
Chatiw pros and cons
Chatiw is fast and free, but the lack of checks shows in user experiences.
| Πλεονεκτήματα | Μειονεκτήματα |
|---|---|
| No registration or email needed | No identity verification |
| Δωρεάν χρήση | Frequent complaints about scammers and fake profiles |
| Rooms and private chats in one place | Users report that reports go unanswered |
| Works on mobile browsers | Heavy ads |
| Age selector starts at 18 | Trustpilot score of 1.4/5 |
Είναι ασφαλές το Chatiw;
Chatiw is not very safe by default, because anyone can join with a made-up nickname and age, and Trustpilot reviewers (1.4/5 from 69 reviews in October 2026) describe scammers, fake profiles, unexplained bans and reports that go nowhere. DatingScout says reported users receive a 48-hour ban.
- Use a nickname that has nothing to do with your real name or other accounts.
- Do not send photos that show your face, home or anything identifying.
- Ignore anyone who asks for money, gift cards or a move to another app.
- Do not click links sent by strangers.
- Block and report anyone who makes you uncomfortable, then leave the room.
18+ only: Chatiw’s age selector starts at 18, and Camround is also strictly for adults.
