TL;DR — Uhmegle Review 2026
Uhmegle is a free willekeurige chat that recreates the Omegle experience, with text and video modes. You add interests, pick text or video and are matched with a stranger, with no account and no personal details required. The site says it uses automated systems and human moderators to enforce its rules, but it does not state a minimum age on its homepage and now also points users to a sister site, Umingle. Rating: 3.5/5.
- Best for: Adults who miss Omegle and want free text or videochats with interest matching.
- Cost: Free.
- Standout feature: Omegle-style interest tags in both text and video.
- Skip it if: You want gender filters or a clearly adults-only site.
Uhmegle (uhmegle.com) is one of the best-known sites to appear after Omegle closed in November 2023. It copies Omegle’s formula closely: add interests, choose text or video, and talk to a random stranger.
The previous version of this page described group calls, polls, end-to-end encryption and a no-log policy. The site claims none of that, so this review covers what Uhmegle actually offers. If you are comparing Omegle-style sites, see our guide to the best Omegle replacements.

What is Uhmegle?
Uhmegle is an Omegle-style chat that pairs you with a random stranger for a text or video conversation. You can add interests, such as a favourite game or show, and the matching system tries to pair you with someone who shares them. Tencent RTC, which writes about chat apps, credits the site to a developer named Maks. The homepage now also suggests Umingle, a related site, for meeting people worldwide.
How does Uhmegle work?
Uhmegle works exactly like Omegle did: add interests, pick a mode and start.
- Open uhmegle.com in a desktop or mobile browser.
- Add a few interests if you want better-matched chats.
- Choose tekstchat or video chat and accept the chat rules.
- Allow camera and microphone access for video.
- Chat, skip to the next stranger and report anyone who breaks the rules.
