Rating: 2/5.
- Best for: Adults who still have the app and want casual text and photo chats.

- Standout feature: Profiles you can sort by gender or country.
- Skip it if: You want video Chat, reliable availability or real age checks.
Addchat is a phone-first zufällig chat app rather than a website, closer to Chatous’s profile-based chat than to browser rooms. The previous version of this page described a no-login web chat with automatic moderation, which does not match the app that independent sources describe, so this review has been rewritten.

What is Addchat?
Addchat is an app for chatting and sharing images with random strangers. According to Australia’s eSafety Commissioner, you set a username, bio, age and gender, your country shows on your profile, and you can browse profiles sorted by gender or country. You can post one new photo per hour from your camera or gallery.
How does Addchat work?
Addchat runs on a key system that limits how many chats you can start.
- Install Addchat where it is still offered and sign up with a phone number, Apple ID or Google ID.
- Add a username, short bio, age and gender.
- Browse profiles by gender or country.
- Spend a key to start a chat, using your daily allowance.
- Earn more keys by reviewing images, or buy them, and block or report anyone who misbehaves.
Addchat features
Addchat is built around profiles and photos, not live video.
| Merkmal | What it does | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Profiles | Username, bio, age, gender, country | Choose who to message |
| Gender and country sorting | Filter the profile list | More control than pure random chat |
| Photo posts | One new image per hour | Limits spam |
| Keys | Needed to start chats | Free use is rationed |
| Image review | Earn keys by checking photos | Users help moderate |
| Block and report | Stop or flag users | Basic safety tools |
Is Addchat free?
Addchat is free to download but rations chats. You get a set number of keys every 24 hours, and an App Store snapshot from January 2024 listed Premium at $5.49 a week, 420 coins at $3.99 and a boost at $5.99; current prices could not be verified.
Addchat pros and cons
Addchat’s profile browsing is handy, but its availability and safety are weak points.

| Photo limits cut spam | No age verification |

Is Addchat safe?

- Never share your address, workplace, socials or phone number.
- Think twice before posting photos, since they can be saved and shared.
- Never send money or gift coins to people you meet.
- Block and report anyone who pressures you.
18+ only: chatting with strangers is for adults, and Camround is strictly for users aged 18 and over.
