Mili

Mili is one of many small video chat apps that promise easy face-to-face chats with new people. Older write-ups describe it as an anonyme, no-profile chat aléatoire, but the current Android app works more like the profile-based apps in our Fachat review.

This review sticks to what the Google Play listing and recent user reviews actually show, and points you to better-documented options where they exist.

What is Mili?

Mili is a social app for meeting people through live video chat, private video calls and text messages. The developer says it connects users based on internal ratings and similar interests, shows video full screen, moderates profile pictures by hand and can be used for language practice. It is not anonymous: you create a profile with Facebook or email first.

How does Mili work?

Mili follows the familiar swipe-and-call pattern of social video apps.

1. Install Mili – Live Video Chat from Google Play on an Android phone.
2. Sign up with Facebook or an email address and confirm you are 18 or older.
3. Add a profile picture, which is checked by moderators.
4. Browse or swipe through suggested people and start a live video chat.
5. Use private video calls or text chat with people you connect with, and buy in-app items if you want extras.

Mili features

Mili’s features are typical of profile-based video chat apps.

Fonctionnalité	What it does	Why it matters
Chat vidéo en direct	Full-screen video with new people	The core of the app
Private video calls	Call someone you have connected with	More personal than random matching
Chat texte	Message before or after a call	Useful when you cannot talk aloud
Interest-based matching	Suggests people by rating and interests	Less random than Omegle-style apps
Photo moderation	Profile pictures checked by hand	Cuts down on obvious fake photos
In-app purchases	Paid extras inside the app	Costs are not listed up front

Is Mili free?

Mili is free to install, but it is not completely free to use in full. The Google Play listing flags in-app purchases without showing prices, and one user review mentions gifts, which suggests a virtual-gift or coin system.

Mili pros and cons

Mili offers a simple video chat experience, but signs of neglect are hard to ignore.

Pour	Cons
Free to download	Android only
Video, calls and text in one app	Account required; not anonymous
Profile photos moderated by hand	In-app prices not shown
States an 18+ registration rule	Not updated since September 2024
Interest-based suggestions	Recent reviews report broken swiping and busy calls

Is Mili safe?

Mili has some safety basics, but you should still be careful. Its Data safety section says it may share location and device IDs with third parties and may collect personal info, although data is encrypted in transit and you can request deletion.

• Sign up with an email address you do not use for anything important.
• Turn off location access for the app if you do not need it.
• Never share your phone number, address or social media in chats.
• Be wary of anyone who asks for gifts, money or to move to another app.
• Report and block users who make you uncomfortable.

18+ only: video chat with strangers is for adults, and Camround is strictly for users aged 18 and over.
