TL;DR — Stripchat Review 2026
Stripchat is an adults-only Caméra en direct site where performers stream public shows that anyone can watch free, and viewers pay with tokens for tips and private shows. It launched in May 2016, is operated by Cyprus-based Technius Ltd, and adds VR came shows on top of the usual tipping and private-show features. The free side is generous, but anything interactive costs money. Rating: 4/5.
- Best for: Adults who want a big choice of vivre cam shows and are happy to pay for interaction.
- Cost: Free to watch public shows; tokens from $4.99 for 45, Ultimate from $19.99 a month (per DatingScout).
- Standout feature: VR cam shows that run in a VR headset’s browser.
- Skip it if: You want a free two-way vidéo chat with ordinary people rather than paid performers.
Stripchat is one of the biggest names in adult live cames, and it works very differently from a random chat site. You watch professional performers rather than being matched with another viewer, so it sits alongside our Chaturbate review rather than Omegle-style apps.
This review covers what is free, what costs money, how private the site is and which alternatives fit better if you want something different.

What is Stripchat?
Stripchat is an adults-only streaming platform where performers broadcast live from their own rooms. Viewers watch public shows for free, chat in each room, and use tokens to tip, request things or start a private show. Wikipedia, citing Similarweb, puts its traffic at more than 700 million visits a month, which makes it one of the largest cam sites.
Stripchat is also a regulated platform in the EU. In December 2023 the European Commission designated it a Very Large Online Platform under the Digital Services Act, and in October 2026 the EU General Court upheld that original designation; Stripchat said it was considering an appeal.
How does Stripchat work?
Stripchat follows the standard tip-based cam model.
- Open stripchat.com and confirm you are 18 or older.
- Browse live rooms by category, country, language or tags.
- Watch public shows free and read the room chat.
- Create a free account and buy tokens if you want to tip or interact.
- Use tokens for tips, private or exclusive shows, and other paid extras.
Stripchat features
Stripchat’s feature set is built around paid interaction with performers.
| Fonctionnalité | What it does | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Free public shows | Watch live rooms without paying | You can try the site before spending |
| Tokens | Virtual currency for tips and shows | Pay only for what you use |
| Private shows | One-on-one show for a per-minute token price | More personal, but costs add up |
| VR shows | Shows viewable in a VR headset’s browser | A feature many rivals lack |
| Ultimate membership | Paid tier with extra perks | Useful for regulars only |
| Filters and tags | Sort rooms by category, region and more | Find relevant shows fast |
How much does Stripchat cost?
Stripchat is free to browse, but interaction costs money. DatingScout lists token packs from 45 tokens for $4.99 up to 2,350 tokens for $199.99, with larger packs costing less per token. The Ultimate membership is listed at $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year, and you still need tokens for private shows and tips.
| Token pack | Price (per DatingScout) |
|---|---|
| 45 tokens | $4.99 |
| 90 tokens | $9.99 |
| 200 tokens | $15.99 |
| 540 tokens | $49.99 |
| 1,350 tokens | $119.99 |
| 2,350 tokens | $199.99 |
