TL;DR — Chatib Review
Chatib is a free text chat room site where adults can join public rooms or message people privately without creating a full account. You pick a nickname, age, gender and country and you’re in; you can search users, share photos in messages and create your own room. It’s simple and genuinely free, but moderation is mostly report-based and rooms can be quiet or spammy. Rating: 3/5.
- Best for: adults who want quick, anonymous text chat with people worldwide
- Cost: Free (supported by ads)
- Standout feature: Guest access with search by gender, age and country
- Skip it if: you want video chat, verified users or busy, closely moderated rooms
Chatib is one of the longest-running free chat room sites on the web, known for letting you chat without signing up. In 2026 it still works the same way: choose a nickname, enter a few basics and start talking in public rooms or private messages. Here’s what it does well, where it falls short and how it compares with similar sites.
Chatib belongs to the classic text chat room family, alongside Chatiw’s anonymous chat and Chatzy’s private rooms. If you’d rather talk face to face, Camround’s free 1-on-1 video chat connects adults 18+ instantly in the browser.

- Pass the quick verification check (a CAPTCHA) to get into the site.
- Join a public room by topic or region, or create your own room.
- Search for users by gender, age or country and send them a private message.

More Random Video Chat Sites
Learn more about different websites that allow you to randomly chat with strangers online:
- Use a nickname that reveals nothing about your real identity.
- Don’t share photos that show your face, home or workplace with people you’ve just met.
- Ignore links and requests to move to other apps; both are common scam tactics in chat rooms.
- Block and report anyone who harasses you or sends unwanted content.
- Never send money to someone you’ve met in a chat room, whatever the story.
- Adults only: Chatib requires users to be 18 or older.
